An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Kitchen / Furniture Joiner to join a well-established companyJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent.Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.Location: Garford, Abingdon OX13.Schedule: Monday Friday.About The Role:The company are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Kitchen/ Furniture Joiner to take a hands-on role in the production of their bespoke joinery projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from machining to the installation of the projects. They design and make luxury furniture to a varied customer base. Professionalism, Quality and craftsmanship is paramount.The role is crucial in coordinating the workflow, managing resources, scheduling and working closely with their designer to bring each project to life.
Experience in CNC machining, timber machining, and panel saw operation is necessary.Please apply with a detailed CV and Cover Letter outlining your skills and background, examples of previous work would be beneficial.Candidates must have experience working in a bespoke kitchen manufacturing joinery workshop.Responsibilities Include:Supervise and coordinate workshop activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocolsOperate and maintain various power tools and hand tools, ensuring they are in good working conditionAssemble products according to specifications, using schematics as necessaryPerform equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all workshop machineryAssist team members with heavy lifting tasks as required, promoting a collaborative work environmentProvide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional mannerTrain and mentor staff on best practices for tool usage, safety measures, and assembly techniquesMonitor inventory levels of tools and materials, placing orders as needed to maintain stockCandidate Requirements:Proven experience in a workshop environment, with strong mechanical knowledgeProficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectivelyAbility to read and interpret schematics for assembly purposesStrong problem-solving skills with experience in equipment repairExcellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team membersCapability to perform heavy lifting as required by the rolePrevious experience in a supervisory or management position is preferred but not essentialAdditional Requirements:Strong leadership qualitiesEffective communication skillsExcellent organisational skills and the ability to schedule and plan effectivelyManagerial experienceKnowledgeable and experienced in a bespoke joinery or cabinet-making workshopGreat collaboratorProactive and independentHigh-level cabinetry making experienceExperience in reading and interpreting technical drawingsIf you feel that you have the relative skills/attributes to fulfil this role then please apply now for immediate consideration.The employer fully supports Equality in Employment.
