Job Title: Pharmacist

A well-established and patient-focused medical practice in Bridlington is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacist to join their dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Medication Management:
o Review and dispense medications according to prescriptions and patient needs.
o Monitor patient medication use to ensure efficacy and safety.
o Provide advice on the correct use of medications and potential side effects.
2. Clinical Collaboration:
o Work with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust treatment plans.
o Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to patient care decisions.
3. Patient Consultation:
o Offer direct consultations to patients regarding their medications, including dosage, administration, and potential interactions.
o Educate patients about managing chronic conditions through medication.
4. Medication Safety:
o Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in medication management.
o Conduct medication reviews and audits to identify and resolve any issues.
5. Administrative Duties:
o Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions.
o Prepare and manage medication inventories and supplies.
6. Professional Development:
o Stay current with advancements in pharmaceutical sciences and best practices.
o Engage in continuous professional development and training.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent.
* Registration: Must be a registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or equivalent.
* Experience: Previous experience in a GP practice or similar healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
* Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Knowledge: Proficient understanding of clinical pharmacy, drug interactions, and patient-centred care.
