What you’ll be doing
Our customers come to us because we have a reputation for continuously challenging the industry to do things better, with innovation and excellence at our core. You’ll be a key part of the team that makes this happen and helps us to keep pushing the boundaries.
You will be responsible for the control and electrical aspects of designing, developing, and documenting Kinesys control products.
How you’ll do it
You’ll be responsible for the detailed hardware design of the control and electrical elements of our products.
You’ll build accurate and comprehensive Bills of Materials for use by the purchasing teams
You’ll accurately document designs for inclusion in our technical files to support CE marking, or other regulatory requirements
You’ll work with different engineering disciplines to assist in new product design and development, drawing on your experience and learning from others
You’ll take the lead with electrical engineering changes, obsolescence management, and design updates for legacy products
You’ll help create and maintain manufacturing information, test specifications and production build packages
You’ll liaise with suppliers to solve manufacturing issues and to value engineer designs
You’ll fault find or rework electrical component failures to support production as needed

Your experience and knowledge
You have a background in designing electrical cabinets and creating control and electrical schematics
You’re highly proficient with Eplan or Autocad Electrical for schematics, layouts and cable assembly drawings
You’ve got practical electrical design experience involving 3-phase power, motor control, variable speed drives, PLCs, SIL rated safety systems and associated switchgear
You’ve got knowledge of functional safety
You might have a HNC or degree in Electrical Engineering, equally you may have gained a wealth of practical experience and learning from your mistakes
Knowledge of CE marking, UL certification, EMC testing and certification, and Lean manufacturing is an advantage, but by no means essential
