Prospero Teaching are seeking dedicated and compassionate Tutors across East Sussex. The ideal candidates will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience working with learners who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), or other trauma-related challenges.
As a Tutor, you will:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging sessions that meet the needs of students.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
Record student progress and report on this weekly.
Be understanding, empathetic and patient.
Record attendance.
Be organised, dependable and creative.About you:

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
QTS- ESSENTIAL
Trauma Informed- ESSENTIAL
Minimum of 1 year experience working within schools as a Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, Tutor, or Teacher- ESSENTIAL
Familiarity with the UK national curriculum- ESSENTIAL
Strong communication and interpersonal skills- ESSENTIAL
Ability to engage and inspire students- ESSENTIAL
Experience working with learners with SEN-HIGHLY DESIRABLETo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
