A Sunderland secondary school is recruiting for a SEND support assistant to work from September 2024 until July 2024.
This OFSTED graded good school is located close to the centre of Sunderland. It is a short drive from the A19, meaning it is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of South Tyneside and County Durham.
As the successful SEND support assistant, you will join a large and supportive department that is valued by the school community.
Your role will be to work specifically with the school’s new year 7 intake. You will provide 1:1 support to a pupil with ASC. Previous experience of supporting a child with Autism or challenging behaviour is desirable. The school is willing to consider applications from individuals with either professional or personal experience.
