About the Role:
As a Lead Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the long-term planning of the business. From setting forecasts to placing orders for fully factored goods, you will be instrumental in managing stock levels and ensuring world-class OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) performance. You will also take a lead role in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, as well as helping to define and implement ERP planning policies across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the S&OP process across multiple sites
2. Manage demand planning and forecasting for all product lines
3. Oversee the Excess & Obsolescence process
4. Ensure all purchase goods for resale (PGFR) are ordered efficiently
5. Collaborate with scheduling and material control teams
6. Validate master data across all sites and coordinate ERP part creation
7. Work closely with procurement and scheduling teams to set stock re-order policies
8. Ensure agreed stocking policies and targeted stock turns are met
9. Meet key performance metrics including cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness
What We're Looking For:
We seek a professional with strong leadership skills, preferably with experience managing a small team. You should have a proven track record in demand planning and supply chain forecasting, ideally with a degree in a relevant field. The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally, coupled with strong negotiation and influencing skills, is essential. Proficiency in ERP systems & Excel is required, and scheduling experience would be beneficial. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills are a must, along with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive approach to working in a fast-paced environment. Being highly organised and methodical is essential, as is having keen attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset. Enthusiasm and a 'can-do' attitude, along with a strong desire to succeed, are key qualities. The ability to work efficiently under pressure is also important. A valid driver's licence is required, as some travel between sites may be necessary.
