Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has two locations: Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) and the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland). The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG turns two teams into a factory team – and you can be part of it.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany). In the area of internal combustion engine development, you will work on the combustion process/calibration of a high-performance powertrain. Your task is to develop the maximum performance and efficiency of the engine in the sub-areas of combustion processes, turbocharging, and calibration, while ensuring the required reliability. You will perform development measures in the concept and design phase as well as in the commissioning and testing phase.
Your Mission
* Development of combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
* Carry out thermodynamic development of the internal combustion engine gas-exchange, combustion phase, and flow simulation of intake & exhaust systems
* Independently plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reports
* Buildup of correlation with measurement data from engine operation and testbenches
* Buildup of processes and improving the workflow and toolchain for simulation and test data correlation
Your Profile
* Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics (bachelor's, master's, graduate diploma (“Diplom”), or engineering doctorate (“Dr.-Ing.”))
* Several years of professional experience in internal combustion development (3D CFD simulation)
* Broad knowledge of engine technology with excellent expertise in the fields of virtual development tool chains
* Experience in data handling from testbenches
* Excellent teamwork skills, organizational skills, and a strong sense of responsibility
* Independent and precise working practices
* Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to learn a basic level in the corresponding other language are prerequisites
