Position Description: CGI Are on the hunt for a Senior Programme Manager to join one of our teams in the Space, Defence and Intelligence Business Unit on a full-time permanent basis taking charge of a complex programme, including service and project elements with one of our long-standing clients. Please note: Due to the nature of our work, all candidates applying for this position must be a UK National that holds current SC clearance and be willing to work onsite at least 1 day per week in our Leatherhead office. Your future duties and responsibilities: •Develop excellent client relationships around delivery and bids • Manage regular meetings with the client ensuring appropriate reports are produced and minutes recorded. • Undertake CSAPs • Manage new business solution design, scheduling, estimation and proposal writing • Lead on CSR activities that involve the client, or their local community • Ensure provision of high-quality deliverables and deliver projects on time and on budget • Take overall responsibility for governance, finance reporting and engagement health checks e.g. DS1/2, DS3, HCR as required. • Ensure a robust approach to security is embedded in the delivery process and ensure any incidents are promptly reported and managed. • Plan resource requirements and recruitment-needs across multiple delivery streams, software support and bids. • Successfully lead a member staff group, driving performance and engagement by setting challenging objectives (Progressio) and giving stretching developmental assignments. • Ensure on time/accurate weekly time reporting for all members. • Plan and manage member assignment to ensure high utilisation. • Manage rates and gross margin across team member. • Produce required weekly, monthly and quarterly/annual reporting for CGI management and attend CGI weekly, monthly and quarterly/annual management meetings as required. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: • Knowledge of Space, Defence and Intelligence led programmes of work • Experience in managing outsourced services as well as software development and testing activities • Demonstrable evidence of a significant client engagement into a prime contractor or MoD with a high-level understanding of contracts & associated Terms & conditions • Experience of managing a large team from multidisciplinary areas • Have a proven track record of attracting and recruiting technical resources. • Able to support the DCS, VPCS, SVPCS and sales team to identify and secure further business opportunities where appropriate. • Available to be on-call for Management Escalation 50% of the year. (We support the system 24x7 and have 1st line support ‘on call at all times, if they can’t resolve the issue then they escalate to 3rd line support who are also on call. If any issue has major implications then 3rd line support will escalate to Management who are also on call (via rota – 1 week on 1 week off) for any required escalation to the client or executive action. The latter rarely happens but is a possibility and the Programme Manager should be available and ready for this eventuality.)
