Oundle School has an exciting opportunity for a Domestic Team Leader to join the School Services Team who will work closely with the Matron and Hsm in a boarding house or the Head of Department.
The Role
The Domestic Team Leader (DTL) is an integral member of the Operations team and will work with the Matron and Housemaster / Housemistress (Hsm) in a boarding House or the Head of Department to ensure their House or facility meets the standards specified in the Service Level Agreement (SLA). The role of the DTL is a hands-on working role and is responsible for leading a team of between five to eight Domestic Operatives (DOs), reporting functionally to a Senior Domestic Team Leader (SDTL). In addition to the mandatory training requirements, a DTL benefits from skills developed through a School wide management and supervisory skills programme, learns and develops Health and Safety aspects for the role, gains further knowledge of Oundle School Handbook Policies, and coaches DOs in Safer Systems of Work in cleaning and laundry duties.
The DTL works during both term time (including pre and post term) and also during the Enterprise Lets periods during School holidays when groups outside the School use the facilities, to ensure the fabric and cleanliness of the School is maintained in accordance with the SLA, irrespective of the occupants.
Shift Patterns
We offer a range of shift patterns to help suit your lifestyle, family and other needs, including:
1. 40 hours per week: Hours of work: 6:30am – 8:30am, 9:00am – 12:30pm, 1pm – 2:30pm Monday-Friday, 7:30am-12:30pm Saturday or Sunday, working 46.4 weeks (52 weeks paid). Salary: £22,550 pro-rata (£25,272 FTE).
2. 25 hours per week: Hours of work: 9:00am – 2:30pm Monday to Friday plus 12 x Saturdays 7:30am – 12:30pm, working 40.79 or 46.40 contracted weeks. Salary: £12,389 pro-rata (£25,272 FTE) based on 40.79 weeks or £14,094 pro-rata (FTE £25,272) based on 46.40 weeks.
