Are you passionate about supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a specialist setting? We are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join a highly regarded specialist secondary school with an exceptional ASD provision.
About the School: A specialist secondary school catering to students aged 11-18, whose primary need is ASD. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Small class sizes to ensure personalised support and a focused learning environment. A nurturing, inclusive, and structured setting designed to help students thrive academically and socially.
The Role of a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with ASD.
2. Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
3. Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
4. Support students in developing communication, social, and life skills.
5. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to support student progress.
Hours: Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 4:15 PM (Wednesdays: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
Ideal Candidate:
1. Experience working with children or young people with ASD/SEND (desirable but not essential).
2. A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
4. A passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
