As a Senior Production Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of the operations, helping ensure the production processes are running smoothly, efficiently, and in line with their high standards. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in driving production quality, food safety, and operational excellence. You'll lead by example, inspire your team, and take responsibility for making sure that every product meets the expectations of both our customers and regulatory bodies.
What you'll be doing:
* Ensure the efficient execution of production schedules, staffing levels, materials, and machinery are all aligned to meet customer orders.
* Organize and manage staffing plans to optimize production, monitor performance, and support staff development.
* Collaborate with the Production Manager to control labour costs by managing staff rotas, holidays, and the skilled labour pool.
* Ensure production processes comply with food safety standards and consistently deliver the highest product quality.
* Address any issues related to processes, quality, and customer feedback, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
* Work with our operating systems to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Control and minimize waste through effective stock rotation and monitoring of raw material usage.
* Complete production records accurately and ensure all health and safety standards are followed.
* Promote a positive team culture through transparent communication, conflict resolution, and handling staff performance.
What we're looking for:
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within food manufacturing.
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification is essential.
* Experience with an MRP system like Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus.
* A natural leader who is confident in decision-making, fostering teamwork, and driving efficiency.
* Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to producing the highest quality products.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and operational systems.
