The Role
As a Payroll Manager, you will be at the heart of managing payroll processes for our UK and international teams. This key position involves overseeing intricate payroll functions, including handling commissions and sales-based compensation – common in the recruitment industry. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Administering payroll for staff across various offices and regions, ensuring timely and precise payroll processing.
* Collaborating with third-party payroll providers, particularly in the US, to guarantee compliance with local payroll laws and regulations.
* Managing payroll tasks for US employees, such as 401(k) contributions, 1099 classifications, and healthcare benefits.
* Working closely with the finance team and management accountants to enhance payroll processes and maintain smooth communication across departments.
* Ensuring strict adherence to deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy in all payroll-related activities.
* As the company grows, there will be opportunities to recruit and lead a Payroll Assistant.
About You
To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with:
* Proven experience in payroll management within the recruitment industry, with a deep understanding of sales-based compensation structures and commissions.
* Experience handling payroll for a multinational company with multiple offices and entities.
* In-depth knowledge of US payroll systems, including 401(k) contributions, 1099 classifications, and healthcare benefits.
* Strong attention to detail, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations across various regions.
