JOB DESCRIPTION: As Principal Bridge Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of bridge projects throughout the UK. This position requires a Chartered Engineer with a strong background in bridge engineering, an excellent understanding of Network Rail (NR) Common Framework, and Network Rail Contractor Responsible Engineer (CRE) duties. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage bridge design projects, from initial concept through to construction. Utilise your expertise in TEDDS, and AutoCAD to develop detailed design and analysis. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective bridge solutions. Perform structural calculations and assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers. Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development efforts. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies. Qualifications and Experience: Chartered Engineer status (CEng) and membership with a recognised engineering institution. Proven track record of delivering successful bridge projects in the UK. Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards and procedures. Previous experience as a CRE for bridge projects is highly desirable. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
