Smile Education is working in partnership with a supportive and welcoming primary school in Oldham, seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to lead a Year 1 class. Your enthusiasm and expertise can help young children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Position Details
* Role: Primary Teacher – Year 1
* Location: Oldham
* Start Date: Immediate
* Pay: £160 – £210 per day (based on experience)
* Contract: Full-time
What You’ll Be Doing
* Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons to Year 1 pupils, in line with the KS1 curriculum.
* Foster a warm and inclusive classroom that supports early learning and development.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to help children reach key milestones.
* Use creative and structured play-based learning techniques to inspire curiosity.
* Monitor progress and work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support each child.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE.
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.
* A nurturing, creative, and patient teaching style.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one via Smile Education).
