About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join one of our most prestigious and established clients based in Nottingham. As a Private Client Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to their high-net-worth clients on matters related to estate planning, wills, trusts, inheritance tax, and powers of attorney. This role is ideal for a driven, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in private client work who can manage complex cases with sensitivity and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
• Estate Planning: Advise clients on estate planning matters, including drafting wills, creating trusts, and guiding clients through inheritance tax strategies.
• Probate and Estate Administration: Manage and administer estates, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, distributing assets as per the will or intestacy laws, and providing guidance on probate issues.
• Trusts and Tax Advice: Establish and administer trusts, ensuring clients are well-informed about the legal and tax implications.
• Lasting Powers of Attorney: Assist clients in preparing lasting powers of attorney for both health and welfare, and property and financial affairs.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering a high level of personal service and confidentiality.
Key Requirements
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years post-qualification experience in private client law, ideally with experience handling high-net-worth clients.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of wills, probate, trusts, and estate planning, with a proven ability to handle complex estates.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to explain complex legal matters in a clear and compassionate manner.
• Client-Focused: Dedication to providing a highly personal, confidential, and professional service.
• Organisational Skills: Able to manage a varied caseload efficiently, with strong attention to detail and time management.
