Full Time - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
The Digital and IT service within Reading Borough council is a very forward-looking Digital Service leading in regards to delivery tools and techniques available to customers and employees. Our service is one of the most critical roles that enables the council to function, and we take pride in the quality of digital and IT service delivery both internally and through our managed service suppliers.
In digital and IT, we have responsibility for the council's web estate, software, hardware, application support, development, telephony, networks, and cyber security. As part of our Next Generation Operating Model, we are currently putting together a small team to deliver the re-procurement of our managed service towers whose contracts come to an end over the next twelve months.

About the role
This role will support the administration of activities throughout the procurement process and supplier management while maintaining the IT application procurement roadmap. Additionally, it will serve as the connection between the NGOM and the BAU Contract and Commercial Management, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.

About you
The ideal candidate should have prior experience supporting procurement in the public sector and be familiar with adhering to Corporate Procurement Rules. A basic understanding of the new procurement guidelines is essential, along with the ability to work effectively within a small project team.
