At Royal London, we are committed to ensuring the resilience and continuity of our services. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Disaster Recovery Manager to join our team to safeguard our critical business IT Services.
As Disaster Recovery Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure the continuity of our business operations in the event of a disruption. You will ensure compliance with our Resilience policy and DR framework through effective testing, operational controls and comprehensive reporting. You will Manage and lead the Disaster Recovery team, providing guidance, support, and strengthening our DR capabilities.
About the role
* Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery framework, plans and procedures
* Ensuring our risk and control management is kept up to date and alignment to out processes
* Provide expertise and support to management and business functional areas, as requested, for all Disaster Recovery processes
* Lead and support the development of Disaster Recovery plans
* Coordinate and conduct regular disaster recovery testing exercises
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking to use the latest tools and innovations to strengthen our operational resilience
* Review Important Business Services to identify any gaps or deficiencies in DR provision for supporting IT services
* Facilitate and support the execution of the plans at the time of a crisis event
* Provide advice and support to projects to ensure that new systems meet the required standards
* Report the group-wide DR status to senior management and key stakeholders
About you
* Proven track record in creating and embedding a modern disaster recovery strategy
* Strong knowledge of disaster recovery principles, practices, and technologies
* Previous people management experience
* Experienced in automating DR management and orchestration (Experience of Cutover runbook management tools and ServiceNow desirable)
* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
* Excellent project management, organisation, and communication skills
* Self-motivated, innovative and keen to learn new skills
* Understanding and experience of industry standards relating to DR and Business Continuity such as BS 25999, ISO 22301, ISO 22313, and ISO/IEC 27031 among others.
