An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Operative to support the Infrastructure Manager as part of a small in-house Maintenance team at our King’s Bush Farm Site at Godmanchester.
We are looking for a candidate that has a strong all-round knowledge of general maintenance including plumbing and carpentry, and who can use their extensive maintenance experience to overcome any maintenance issues. Experience in the use of a helpdesk facility, use of various plant machinery, and a good knowledge of grounds upkeep would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to demonstrate customer care awareness, and have the ability to reflect a professional image of the team and the Charity with both internal and external customers.
You will be required to carry out reactive maintenance through the FM Helpdesk facility and planned maintenance according to PPM schedule including, but not restricted to, painting, grounds maintenance, basic plumbing, and general upkeep of internal and external areas.
Due to the nature of the role, a sound knowledge of health and safety in relation to maintenance is required along with an awareness of control measures and the ability to apply and maintain them. This role will be physically demanding and requires a flexible approach to working hours as well as exemplary time keeping.
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. The successful applicant will be required to work one in four weekends with a rota'd day off on the Friday before and the Monday after the weekend they work.
The starting salary for this position will be £24,000 - £27,872 per annum depending on experience and will be complemented by:
