Your career opportunities at the TÜV SÜD Group
TÜV SÜD is an international provider of testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services, as well as technical advisory and R&D. We deliver to customers from a range of industries including Renewable & Sustainable Energy, Oil & Gas, Water and Government. The modes of service delivery range from physical testing at one of our three UK testing labs, to on-site audits and inspections at customer sites, to desk based advisory services.
Due to continued growth in demand for our services across our Industry Services division, we are looking for a project coordinator to oversee two types of projects: routine flow meter calibration projects at our East Kilbride site, and projects within our Green Energy and Sustainability business which are a combination of customer site and desk-based projects.
You will be someone with a track record of coordinating projects related to an engineering, technical or scientific field, as we have strong technical teams in all these areas, who you will work with on a daily basis to ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-spec and in-budget.
The role will be office based, due to the link with flow testing at our East Kilbride site. The candidate must have the ability to work in the UK.
Essential requirements for the candidate:
1. Knowledge and application of key project management principles, evidenced through a demonstrable track record, with experience in coordinating projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
2. Strong organisation skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload based on business requirements.
3. A good understanding of practical financial issues and commercial fundamentals which contribute to the customer experience and contribute to the profitability of the business.
4. Experience in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that the project is completed within the allocated budget.
5. Able to identify and manage project risks and develop contingency plans if required.
6. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft office suite of applications.
Advantageous requirements for the candidate:
1. Project management certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2.
