Job Title: Roads Maintenance Worker Location: Alness & Dingwall Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roads Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing roads, highways, and related infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient transportation for the public. Key Responsibilities: Road Repairs: Identify and repair road damage such as potholes, cracks, and surface erosion using various tools and materials. Routine Maintenance: Perform routine tasks such as cleaning drainage systems, removing debris, and clearing roadside vegetation to prevent water accumulation and maintain visibility. Signage and Signal Maintenance: Install, repair, and replace road signs, signals, and markers to guide drivers safely. Guardrail Installation and Repair: Install, inspect, and repair guardrails and barriers to enhance road safety. Traffic Control: Assist in traffic control during road construction or repair activities to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license; CDL preferred. Experience in road maintenance or construction is a plus. Ability to operate heavy machinery and hand tools. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
