My client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and enhance their sales operations as they pursue their mission of delivering low carbon heating technology to households across the UK. This role involves driving the performance of a team of frontline Team Leaders, supporting them in achieving exceptional sales results through their teams. You will also focus on increasing sales revenue by optimizing processes and conversions throughout the customer journey, working alongside data analysts and business operations teams to implement tools, technologies, and analytics that drive targeted change and improve sales performance. They are looking for someone passionate about sustainability, customer experience, team development, and coaching—someone who can lead leaders, drive successful results across the organization, and streamline sales and marketing processes. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a passion for root cause analysis to optimize resource allocation and continuously improve operational performance. Key Responsibilities: Manage and develop a frontline leadership team to drive elite performance and deliver progressive results. Implement innovative mechanisms for continuous process improvement to optimize conversion at each stage of the customer journey, leveraging technology, processes, and people. Identify new opportunities to grow the business by proactively and analytically exploring new ways to engage customers. Ensure diligent development of sales pipelines, fostering a culture where teams are motivated to exceed targets. Establish a performance culture within the team through coaching, setting clear objectives, and providing regular feedback. Support the growth of the team by identifying resource needs and benchmarking excellence. Forecast team performance using people and data-led information. Ensure outstanding customer service is delivered, sharing best practices and measuring customer satisfaction. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the wider business to support collaborative outcomes. Requirements: A proven track record of fostering a culture of high performance, trust, and authentic relationships within teams. A focus on performance development, team management, and continuous improvement. Experience in sales and revenue optimization within a modern B2C consultative environment, alongside a passion for energy technology and decarbonization. A customer-centric mindset, with a strong drive to go above and beyond for customers. A comprehensive understanding of business processes and a commitment to seeing projects through to completion. An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Basic technical knowledge to support customers in adopting low carbon energy solutions in their homes.
