Job summary The Department of Medical Physics & Bioengineering is looking to recruit a friendly, efficient and self-motivated individual to join our multidisciplinary team. This post is specifically in support of the PET-CT service but may also involve additional administrative duties across the department when required. You will need to possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and demonstrate a good understanding of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel). The role includes data collection and entry, general clerical duties, making appointments and contacting patients by phone (a good telephone manner is essential) and some reception cover where necessary. Knowledge of the Computerised Radiology Information Solution (CRIS) is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. This is a permanent post that is full time or the option to job share if suitable candidates are found to cover Monday-Friday. Main duties of the job To contact patients by phone and record patient responses to questionnaires. To make appointments in CRIS (including preparation of appointment letters/envelopes). This also includes scanning in necessary paperwork, preparing and printing lists and finding and copying reports and forwarding images to PACS. To make use of Millennium as required. Training will be given. To operate systems external to the hospital e.g. Alliance Medical Limited (AML) Radiology Information System (RIS), for which, significant training will be given. This includes scanning in necessary paperwork, preparing and printing lists, entering data into a spreadsheet from information on CRIS, copying the right report for the right patient into a pdf and appropriately attaching the pdf to correct patient on the AML RIS.
