Children and Young People's Services have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Operational Support Officer to provide business support to the Children & Young People Mental Health Leadership and Services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Mental Health Head of Service and Service Manager across the Children and Young Peoples (CYP) Directorate within allocated area(s)/stack(s) to deliver and lead on key functions, supporting the achievement of Key Performance Indicators, internal outcome measures and the smooth running of administrative support functions. This includes troubleshooting challenging situations.
The post-holder will provide leadership to administrative staff and be flexible across the wider CYP Directorate to cover periods of leave where required.
Data and data quality play a large part within this role. The post will involve an understanding of how data flows through Services, how to translate this into meaningful headlines, and embed processes to sustain robust reporting mechanisms and data quality.

Knowledge and Experience
* Educated to 'A' Level or Equivalent experience
* Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
* Experience of analysing complex data and interpreting and acting on results
* Experience in the use of SystmOne and Datix
Skills and Abilities
* Excellent presentation & report writing skills
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* Strong analytical skills and ability to consider the wider picture
* Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
