Job Overview:As a member of the Front of House team, you will play a key role in providing excellent food and beverage service in our restaurant, bar, and event spaces. Your focus will be on creating a welcoming environment, ensuring that guests have a memorable dining and drinking experience. You will be responsible for delivering friendly, professional service, whether taking orders, serving drinks, or assisting with events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and seat guests in the restaurant and bar areas, ensuring a warm welcome.
* Take food and drink orders accurately, offering advice and information on menu items, including our selection of Modern British cuisine.
* Serve food and drinks to guests efficiently while maintaining high presentation standards.
* Prepare and serve a variety of drinks from the bar, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, with correct measurements and garnishes.
* Ensure all dietary requirements and preferences are communicated to the kitchen team.
* Clear and reset tables in a timely manner, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for new guests.
* Assist in setting up and clearing down of restaurant and event spaces.
* Provide friendly and attentive service at all times, ensuring guest satisfaction.
* Handle guest payments and manage billing through the hotels POS systems.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in both the restaurant and bar areas.
* Restock the bar and ensure all beverages are stored correctly.
* Work closely with the kitchen and other front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
* Be knowledgeable about the hotels services and facilities, answering any guest queries.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role, either in a restaurant, bar, or hotel setting.
* A passion for delivering excellent customer service with attention to detail.
* Knowledge of food and beverage service, including cocktails and fine wines, is an advantage.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure during busy service times while maintaining professionalism.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
* Immaculate personal presentation and a positive attitude.
* Experience with POS systems is beneficial, though training will be provided.
