We have an exciting opportunity for a District Nurse Clinical Lead to join our caring and highly motivated Bodmin and Three Harbours nursing teams in North Cornwall.
We are looking for a dynamic, flexible and compassionate practitioner who can demonstrate a broad range of competencies and is able to adapt to a wide variety of clinical circumstances.
This is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will monitor the quality of care provision and identify and lead on areas of service development.
They will be a registered nurse who holds or is working towards the DNSPQ qualification. They will work within an integrated team providing clinical leadership for all patients within the community nursing caseload through proactive management. While working on their own initiative, they will be responsible for ensuring that all members of the nursing team are providing the highest standard of evidence-based clinical care and will actively support and liaise with other health and social agencies and professionals.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Registered Nurse
* Relevant post-registration qualification - specialist practitioner qualification (District Nursing) or working towards
* Independent non-medical prescribing qualification or equivalent or working towards
* MSc Nurse Practitioner qualification or equivalent
Experience and Skills
* Previous relevant experience of working within a community nursing team
* Highly developed clinical expertise and knowledge in all aspects of community nursing care
* Highly specialist assessment, planning, treatment, and evaluation skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to deal with challenging and sensitive situations
* Experience of leadership and leading change or project implementation
