We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative, inspirational and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within Year 2, alongside a child with vision impairment.
The ideal candidate should be qualified in one of the following qualifications or equivalent:
1. Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools.
2. Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma.
3. Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
4. Level 2 Teaching Assistant Certificate.
5. Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
Or have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a Primary School in a similar role.
Experience of working with a child with vision impairment or additional needs is preferred, although not essential as training will be provided.
The candidate will need to have a patient, caring attitude and have good numeracy and literacy skills. Candidates must have GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent). They should be flexible and able to work in all areas of the curriculum.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our school provides the very best education for every pupil. They will implement agreed work programs with individuals or groups of children and support teaching staff in the development and education of pupils.
