Job Summary
My Clients in the Estate Agency/Property Management sector are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy in financial records and assisting with various accounting tasks. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the management of accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
* Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date financial records.
* Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
* Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to manage financial transactions.
* Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the finance department.
* Maintain organised documentation for all financial transactions and correspondence.
* Assist in preparing financial reports as required by management.
* Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable and financial processes.
Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role within the financial or estate agency services sector is preferred.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is highly desirable.
* Strong data entry skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records.
* Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general accounting principles is essential.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders.
