You will be part of a great team, working within a modern and clean environment, producing high precision parts and components for the Aerospace industry. The nature of the work is small to medium batch with medium to high complexity. The primary focus of this position is to support the production demands within the Milling department The role will also support working on NPI parts to produce new methods of manufacture for our customer’s cutting edge designs.
Responsibilities
Conducting NDT testing and inspection utilising both Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant methods, interpreting results, and generating reports on findings.
Identifying defects and interpreting test results.
Completing test reports and presenting findings.
Participating in Nadcap and customer audits.
Carrying out all control checks and recording the information.
Arranging calibration of NDT equipment.
Operating within Nadcap prime specifications.
Adapting Lean principles in line with Regal Rexnord principles and adhering to all relevant quality standards.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge Required
Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, ideally within aerospace or a related industry
Proven skills within an NDT environment and the ability to provide documented evidence of previous experience.
Relevant NDT certification (EN4179)
Three years’ progressive experience as an NDT technician
Attention to detail, accuracy and process improvement techniques
Competence in the application of specified NDT techniques applicable to magnetic particle and liquid penetrant inspection.
The role requires the candidate to be self-certified and a quality stamp holder after the qualifying period.
Thorough knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings.
Working on own initiative
Preferred requirements:
A completed recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
Experience in Nital (acid) etch
Note: Candidates should be based in the UK or have had their work experience or part of their work experience in the UK
