Project Engineer (Technical Publications) We are partnering with one of the world’s largest and most prestigious manufacturing companies to find skilled Project Engineers for contract roles supporting critical aerospace projects. This well-established and renowned manufacturing company provides electro-mechanical solutions globally, catering to diverse industries. As a Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in driving and assessing the progress of aerospace projects across various areas, including ECS, hydraulics, life support systems, and Technical Publications (TechPubs). Key Responsibilities of the Project Engineer: Technical Publications Coordination : Receive requests from customers/OEMs/programs and collate requirements. Prepare and standardize proposal templates for Technical Publications. Share detailed requirements with TechPubs suppliers (e.g., Hemel or Sonovision). Review and evaluate quotes provided by suppliers. Use AET (Estimation Tool) for accurate project estimations. Release purchase orders (POs) to suppliers. Coordinate with TechPubs suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Review and approve applicable documents for submission to OEMs. Project Engineering Oversight : Develop project plans, schedules, and milestones to meet customer expectations, utilizing earned value metrics. Track and maintain project plans, focusing on milestone adherence to ensure timely product delivery. Establish and oversee work packages for internal suppliers, supporting technical and schedule requirements. Foster strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure successful project completion. Manage project costs, quality, and timelines. Oversee requirements management, including validation and effective allocation. Identify and mitigate project risks. Requirements for the Project Engineer Role: HND/HNC/Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly. Prior experience in a project engineering role, with familiarity in Technical Publications processes. Solid understanding of the engineering lifecycle from concept to commissioning. Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project management software. Experience working with suppliers and integrated supply chains within the project lifecycle. Previous exposure to Technical Publications tools, suppliers, or documentation standards is a plus. This is a full-time contract position for a successful Project Engineer.
