Job Description:
Part-time SEND Teacher
* 2 days a week
* Planning expected
* Complex Needs
We are working on behalf of a new, fantastic special school that is opening a new class after half term. This class has a permanent teacher who will be working 3 days a week, so they require someone who can lead for the other 2 days!
The school is a brand new provision, boasting top-of-the-range facilities. Having visited the school, I can honestly say that it is incredible! The staff I met with were absolutely lovely and clearly very proud of where they work.
The role
The role is within a KS1 class of complex special needs and disabilities. The class will follow an Early Years model, and many of the students will be non-verbal. Therefore, it is essential that you have experience working with SEND in schools. The class consists of around 8 students, and you will be supported by 4 TAs. You will be expected to plan your lessons in partnership with the other class teacher.
You must be a naturally patient, positive, and enthusiastic person. The school is open to different applications for this position, but ideally, you would hold a QTS.
