What's involved with this role: Temporary Business Support Officer/ Admin Job Ref: Newcastle 6121315195963 Pay Rate: £12.59 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 1 month City: NEWCASTLE Working as a reactive Business Support Officer supporting the IRS Team on Monday and Tuesday, and providing support to the MST Team on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We are looking for excellent communications skills, the ability to deal with challenging situations and work to statutory deadlines. You should have the ability to multi-task and deal with changing priorities. It would be an advantage if you are able to use Eclipse or have previous experience of an Electronic Social Care System, however training will be available. You should be fully familiar with secure email and MS Office. The Role predominantly consists of processing referrals, information requests and processing data across both Teams within the Service. Some of these roles involve taking notes or actions of meetings. In some cases this is completed live using a PC during the meeting. Those meetings are predominantly Child Protection meetings and do contain sensitive discussions in relation to children and families. Key accountabilities: Take part in identifying and embedding business process improvements. Deal with enquiries, including technical queries about the service in line with procedures and protocols. Collate and prepare management information as needed. Work with nominated officers responsible for maintenance, repairs and security of designated buildings, giving administrative support as needed. Give confidential administrative and secretarial support including arranging and servicing meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes as needed. Give interactive WP support to the allocated service using digital, audio or copy typing. Contribute to skills transfer activities by the demonstration of duties to support business continuity and to continually improve the service. Develop and maintain positive joint working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders. Give a professional and courteous reception service as needed.
