We are looking for a highly motivated individual keen to expand their clinical skills in a friendly and welcoming imaging team.
The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to support delivery in both acute and community sites providing opportunities for a wide range of both routine and complex radiography.
The team are supported by imaging support workers and nurses.
You will take part in a rota covering this service delivering care to our local population 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our Trust is also a major hub for women's and children's services with our neonatal intensive care unit being one of 3 centres of excellence in the region and as such has a large paediatric workload.
We perform a high number of mobile examinations across our various wards, as well as fluoroscopy examinations in theatres, including trauma, pacing lab and urology. In addition to rotating through mobiles and theatre, you will also rotate through fluoroscopy, as well going to work at our satellite primary imaging service in Bolton town centre and on-site at our Community Diagnostic Centre.
Skills in fluoroscopy and interventional radiology are desirable.
To work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality radiographic services across the general radiology departments.
To take part in the provision of a high quality, timely and efficient diagnostic radiography service to patients of Bolton Hospitals NHS Trust. This includes working across sites within the area at the CDC and Bolton One out-patient services.
To work independently or part of a team and carry out or assist with a comprehensive range of diagnostic radiographic procedures.
To take part in the provision of the emergency Radiology service, shift system within the general department, as required by the Trust.
To participate in Continuing Professional Development, supervise and assist with the development of radiographers, student radiographers and other support staff.
To assure good communications between patients, staff and colleagues are maintained.
To take responsibility for leading the general radiographic team as required.
