Reporting to the Product Data Governance Manager, you will work with Commercial, E-Comms and suppliers to ensure that products are optimised in the product hierarchy. You will be maintaining the construction and development of product selling data for new product types and the maintenance of business rules in the Screwfix product hierarchy.

Responsibilities
1. Analyse product types from new product consol sheets. Identify correct subgroup location, attributes and rules required to ensure products are showcased effectively online.
2. Ensure any proposals for new subgroups are consistent with existing data formatting and will enable customer purchasing decisions.
3. Challenge the creation of new subgroups where the volume does not merit this.
4. Highlight data issues on the consol sheet and take responsibility for resolution in conjunction with Trading.
5. Collaborate with the Digital Merchandising and Trading teams to ascertain the best way forward for new product areas of the business.
6. Ensures consistency of approach in the construction and development of product selling data for the web.
7. Liaise with internal departments to identify and resolve queries/issues that arise from product data and hierarchy.
8. Work with external suppliers to capture missing data if applicable.
9. Influences stakeholders to improve the structure of data across all product categories.
10. At the direction of the Product Data Governance Manager, work on ad-hoc projects to change /improve the ways in which we collect and manage data.
11. Pro-actively meets deadlines and workload priorities to ensure new product launch projects are not compromised.
12. Prioritise own workload and escalate potential issues.
13. Challenge’s behaviour that does not support a team working environment.
14. Creates a sense of energy and pace based upon personal example.
15. Actively demonstrate a positive attitude.
Qualifications
16. Efficient, with a strong eye for detail and accuracy.
17. You’ll need to be able to analyse large volumes of conflicting data to make decisions.
18. You’ll have the challenge of working to tight deadlines.
19. You’ll have a flexible approach to work and adapt quickly and effectively to unexpected change, whilst still ensuring objectives are met.
20. Confident and competent in MS Office applications (., Excel, Word) and open to learning in-house systems and applications.
