Project Engineer | Stirling | Full Time | Up to £30,000 dependant on experience
An exciting position has become available for a full time Project Engineer to join our friendly team based in Stirling, Scotland. The role holder will report to the Managing Director and Senior Project Engineer. They will also be responsible for providing customers with top quality engineering solutions in a timely and profitable way.

We provide the full range of design, machining and fabrication services to all sectors including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Undersea, Manufacturing and Automotive.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm and Friday 8am-3.30pm.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Adept in use of AutoCAD or other 2D and 3D CAD software and familiar with standard office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
* Competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals.
* Familiarity with engineering machining and fabrication processes.
* Understanding of Health & Safety and Quality Systems.
* Design of engineering solutions.
* Educated to degree level in Engineering would be preferable, but relevant experience in engineering workshop would also be considered.
* Engineering experience in a sub-contract machining and fabrication workshop environment would be a great advantage.
* Graduate Engineers with little or no work experience in the field are also encouraged to apply.
* Able to demonstrate success and experience managing customers and contracts/projects.
* Ideal background would be in precision mechanical engineering; Familiar with engineering processes from design and specification to manufacture, assembly, testing and commissioning; able to communicate and motivate via written media.
* Must have clean or near clean driving licence.
Role Responsibilities:
* Liaise with customers to understand their requirements.
* Generate proposals, quotations and workflow job cards.
* Cost materials and labour.
* Produce drawings and specifications.
* Order materials and tooling.
* Liaise with sub-contractors.
* Schedule jobs with the workshop chargehands and other engineers.
* Update customers on progress of jobs.
* Exceed customer quality requirements and deadlines.
