ROLE PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Global Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the role is key within the Operations team, responsible for providing a valuable service to internal customers through the coordination, implementation, and delivery processes within the warehouse. The role includes, but is not limited to, coordinating the delivery of goods into both the UK and Middle East warehouses, system booking, interdepartmental communication, assisting and providing input with the implementation and maintenance of a new digital scheduling system, and working closely with the quality department regarding returned goods.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
* Co-ordination of all goods into both UK and Middle East warehouses by means of supplier contract and system updates.
* Liaising with key stakeholders over time-sensitive jobs to ensure that deadlines are met and, where deadlines cannot be met, ensuring communication is prompt and effective.
* Working closely with the quality department to ensure the company returns processes are adhered to accurately and in a timely fashion.
* Assisting purchasing in system transactions, processing of PORs and problem-solving.
* Working alongside key operational stakeholders to ensure the system data is maintained to a high standard.
* Analysis of data sets to streamline and improve efficiencies in the operational department.
* Compile reports for senior and director-level staff members with attention to detail and high data accuracy.
* Work alongside the Global Warehouse and Logistics Manager with positive input and contribution in the development of processes and practices.
* Liaising with the logistics department and communicating detailed information to the warehouse regarding goods inwards, dispatch, and collections.
* To undertake any other duty as determined by the Global Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an operational environment.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential.
* Excellent computer and IT skills are essential.
* Ability to follow detailed written instructions based on quality specifications with competent literacy skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and be self-motivated.
* Excellent time management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:
* A levels or equivalent and minimum level 4 in GCSE Maths and English.
WORKING HOURS:
* 25 hours a week – Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Friday 09:00 – 15:00, with a 45-minute unpaid lunch.
