Children & Young People Assessor
Contract term: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 37 hours over 5 days
Location: To cover the South Powys area - Field-based/Homebased
Salary: £26,375 rising to £29,540 per annum (£25,375 – unqualified Assessor)

What you’ll do:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Children & Young People Assessor. This role is field-based covering the South Powys area, involves delivering and organising training, assessments, workshops, and blended learning activities to support learners in achieving their Apprenticeship qualifications, including Essential Skills (Eg Literacy and Numeracy).
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards ( Welsh Government, Estyn Common Inspection Framework and ACT standards), manage learner records, and build positive relationships with learners and employers.
ACT is committed to promoting the Welsh language for both staff and learners, and whilst it is not considered essential criteria, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role.

What we need from you:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a Health & Social care sector for Children.
Minimum Level 3 Occupational based qualification or equivalent (CYP)
Assessor Qualification (or willing to work towards)
Good level of IT, literacy, and numeracy
Ability to develop others
Proven track record of meeting targets
Team player with ability to work on own initiative
To uphold ACT values
Self-organised and motivated
Someone who understands the need to build a good rapport with learner and employer
Hold a full valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
