About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join our team in Southampton. The successful candidate will have a strong background in marketing, with a focus on fitness and outdoor recreation.
Salary: £35,000+ per annum, dependent on experience.
Job Description: As a Marketing Manager at GARMIN (EUROPE) LIMITED, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing plans to drive brand awareness, consideration, and sales. This includes working closely with the Segment Marketing Manager to deliver successful marketing campaigns, managing brand events and expos, and localising global campaign material.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with the Segment Marketing Manager on retail marketing activity, sponsorship activations, event delivery, and briefing internal teams on required initiatives.
* Support the Segment Marketing Managers in developing and delivering successful marketing plans for product launches and campaigns through effective planning, communication, collaboration, and project management to maximise ROI.
* Contribute towards excellent cross-functional coordination of all marketing activity for relevant segments.
* Work with retailers to drive excitement for products and deliver effective marketing activations that drive brand awareness, consideration, and sales.
* Support the Segment Marketing Managers in planning and delivering effective sponsorship activities through good relationship management, communications, and project management.
* Support the Segment Marketing Managers in project managing brand events and expos for relevant segments and optimising the events calendar to drive segment and business goals.
* Support the localisation of global campaign material, ensure all assets are delivered on time, and are compliant by liaising with Global, EMEA, Legal, and 3rd parties where required.
* Act as a guardian of the Garmin brand by ensuring that all assets and communications adhere to Garmin brand guidelines and are consistent across channels.
* Act as the internal advocate for your segments, maintaining excellent product knowledge and driving excitement and engagement.
* Work on ad-hoc projects and tasks where necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Four years' experience in a similar marketing role (brand, retailer, or agency).
* Strong working knowledge of all marketing channels.
* Project management experience across a variety of marketing channels – including event experience, as well as sponsorship delivery.
* Experience managing brand campaigns with large-scale budgets from brief to PCA.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organisation, planning, and analytical skills.
* Capable of working autonomously and multitasking in a high-pressure environment.
* Be proactive, reliable, responsible, and accurate with an attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship development skills.
* Flexibility to travel (including event work on evenings and weekends).
* A keen interest in sports and fitness is preferred to support an understanding of Garmin products and positioning.
