Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established business within their Womenswear division, to focus on trend led Jerseywear.

I am on the hunt for a commercially minded Designer for this exciting opportunity, with this great high street supplier based in Leicestershire. I am looking for aspirational portfolios which explore future trends and interesting new shapes for Women's fashion, whilst also being commercial.

Womenswear Designer- Jerseywear – The Role:

* Creating and developing original design ideas, concepts, embroideries, fabrications and seasonal themes
* Sourcing of relevant fabrics to meet the design requirements
* Responsible for own account
* Developing original themes for seasonal collections
* Creating specs/tech packs for our factories
* Ensuring critical path is adhered to, and keep on top of all key dates
* Assist the design process
* Liaising with factories and overseas offices
* Creating relationships with buyers
* Inspiration and sourcing trips abroad
* Trend packs/ colour inspiration
* Managing expenses and returns

Womenswear Designer- Jerseywear- The Candidate:

1. +3 years minimum background in Design
2. Educated to degree level with a minimum 2.1 degree in Fashion or other related subject or equivalent practical attainment
