National Timber Systems are looking to appoint a Branch Manager for our Timber Engineering factory in Mosborough, Sheffield. The purpose of this role is to help drive performance and standards, whilst ensuring we provide a great customer experience.
Reporting to the Divisional Production Manager, this position is pivotal in managing and developing the efficiency of the site, ensuring Health and Safety compliance, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
We are searching for someone with appropriate manufacturing experience, ideally in an engineered timber products environment. You will need to show motivation and drive. You will be an approachable, hands-on leader that supports and develops their colleagues.

What You will Do
Some of the key areas of this role include:
Managing a team of 35+ staff
Responsibility for effective and efficient running of all fabrication and operations within the NTS Branch
Ensure the Branch is fully health and safety compliant in line with Company policy and procedure
Managing consumption requirements and minimising waste on both source and finished products
Managing and controlling quality of all products to acceptable standards for customers’ requirements
Managing of KPI’s for the production recovery and updating forecasts
Ensuring quality control measures are implemented and sustained by appropriate personnel across the production and operations departments
Conduct regular team meetings, one-to-ones, and performance reviews to support growth and engagement
Identify training needs and development opportunities for team members
What We are Looking For
· Strong people management capability.
· Ideally experience within the engineered timber products environment, although full training will be given
· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to drive performance while maintaining a positive work environment
· Knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing or similar methodologies would be advantageous
· Ability to promote open communication, employee feedback and a positive workplace culture
