Role Overview:
A crucial role in a fast-growing company, our Finance & Operations Associate will work closely alongside our Founder to support the growing business on a part time basis (c. 24-30 hours per week). You can work when it suits you best, across at least four days a week (must be able to come to our Edinburgh office 1-2x a week).
The Associate will be responsible for day-to-day financial and operational tasks, such as invoicing, financial analysis, managing budgets and supporting specific operational work.
This is still a relatively nascent industry with significant opportunities for growth; we are looking for someone who can help us capitalise on this. This role would be perfect for someone who loves numbers, working in a fast-paced, start-up environment and has aspirations to become a key leader in the business.

What you’ll get to do:
* Processing invoices, bills and tracking payments
* Dealing with invoicing queries from team and clients
* Manage payroll alongside our accountants
* Bookkeeping, including reconciling payments on our accounting software
* Helping to build new processes
* Support financial proposals
* Monthly reporting to teams
* Key support to the Founder / CEO
Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for someone who is financially literate, detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone with prior experience in financial operations or bookkeeping (at least 2x years).
In addition, we’re looking for:
* At least two years business experience
* Be able to work from our Edinburgh city centre office at least once or twice per week
* Willingness to ‘muck in’ and do what is necessary is essential
* Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
* We look for people who are empathetic and trustworthy
* Experience working in start up or scale-up environments would be beneficial
* Must be fully authorised to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship)
