The Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with a minimum of (3 years) PQE (there is no upper limit on the amount of PQE) to join our Dispute Resolution Team. This role is an excellent opportunity to provide Fee Earning support to the team and work in a fast-paced environment, whilst ensuring high standards of client care are provided in a professional and pleasant manner.
The Candidate:
We are seeking a candidate with previous experience in a Commercial Litigation position, including general commercial disputes, Professional negligence, Commercial Landlord and tenant issues, Disputed debts, Land and property disputes, and probate claims.
In addition, the candidate should have excellent time management, organisational, IT and communication skills, a willingness to learn new skills, knowledge and expertise in the field, and exceptional attention to detail. An ability to communicate in a friendly, professional and confidential manner to both colleagues and clients is essential. The role available will suit those with a positive and flexible approach and an ability to remain calm under pressure to reflect the image and ethos of the firm.
The role:
As a Commercial Litigation Solicitor at Spire, you will:
* Provide high-quality fee earning support with the Dispute Resolution team.
* Work closely with clients to understand business objectives and advise clients on how to minimise risks to their business, including managing relationships with third parties, managing relationships between shareholders and employees, and protecting assets.
* Attend mediations/settlement meetings.
* Issue court proceedings and deal with disclosure and drafting witness statements.
* Prepare trial bundles and documentation required by the court pre and post-trial.
* Develop and maintain knowledge on issues within the Commercial Litigation sphere and work collaboratively with colleagues across the whole team to share knowledge.
* Contribute to business development opportunities and identify networking opportunities internally and externally, as well as engagement in marketing and cross-selling.
* Demonstrate high technical ability, excellent drafting and client care skills.
* Work flexibly in other offices as required.
* Work collaboratively and collegiately with colleagues and successfully manage client relationships.
* Demonstrate teamwork and relationship building skills.
* Display willingness to nurture and teach junior members of the team, if required.
