We are looking for an experienced and motivated Clinical Liaison Nurse to join our STAR team. You will provide intensive community treatment to young people in mental health crisis, conducting assessments, treatment planning, and clinical risk management. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to support service development.
The STAR team provides assessments for young people in crisis, including those with self-harm or suicidal ideation, and offers follow-up care. We are expanding our home treatment services and offer a supportive MDT environment with excellent supervision and training.

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Clinical Nurse Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
1. Provide care to children and young people, including assisting with triaging, assessing, and managing mental health presentations.
2. Plan tailored therapeutic programmes and work with multidisciplinary teams to implement and advise on treatment plans.
3. Support Deliberate Self Harm response within a non-mental health setting.
4. Report safeguarding concerns following Trust procedures.
5. Manage a caseload of patients requiring intensive community treatment and develop protocols with the team and external agencies.
6. Offer advice and signpost patients to additional services.
7. Contribute to training and support for non-mental health colleagues.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* RMN / RN (Mental Health)
* Post registration clinical training relevant to CAMHS / Mental Health Teaching and Assessing ENB 998 / Mentorship or equivalent Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
* Hold a Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification or be prepared to complete this training
* Degree in relevant subject
Experience
* Post registration experience within a CAMHS / Mental Health setting
* Working collaboratively with patients and their families/carers
* Working in a multi-disciplinary team Quality improvement activities
* Working across agency boundaries
* Auditing clinical standards
* Utilisation of research in practice

* Hold a current UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
