About the role
Purpose of the Lectureships: to provide postdoctoral research opportunities for doctors in training, whose personal circumstances make it difficult or impossible for them to work full time. This will include, for example, those with family or other carer responsibilities. The Chadburn Lectureships are open to all doctors in training in Paediatrics or Renal Medicine or Respiratory Medicine or Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The scheme aims to fund up to three Clinical Lecturers who demonstrate excellent potential to be researchers of the future in a medical speciality at University College London (UCL). The call is open to clinicians who have completed their doctoral training or will have completed their doctoral training by the time they take up the Lectureship. They should also be at an appropriate point in their clinical training and should have clear plans for the completion of their specialty training (but not be at consultant level yet).Please direct all informal enquires to Sarah Mackilligin on .
About you
Successful applicant will be required to meet below criteria:• Initiate and conduct a research project (with guidance from named academic specialty lead/supervisor). • Document the research findings in written form, publications in peer-reviewed journals. • Attend and participate in research activities within the department. • Document research findings comprehensively in laboratory notebooks. • Maintain confidentiality and abide by relevant data protection rules pertaining to patient-linked data. • Complete mandatory training and participate in training activities as appropriate. • Provide final report to UoL at the end of lectureship, including a statement of the benefits to the lecturer and university.
