To ensure products of the highest standards are manufactured on time and to cost while ensuring that all H&S and quality requirements are adhered to whilst fulfilling customer demand. The Role Professionally represent the company and its activities to external customers, suppliers, regulators and third parties. Follow and comply with all relevant Wilsonart policy and quality system procedures and practice. Contribute to the implementation of continual improvement processes within WILSONART and undertake to satisfy internal and external customers. Work effectively with colleagues to participate and contribute to the successful completion of both personal, team and business quality objectives. Ensure that all duties are performed in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures with due consideration to health, safety and environmental risk. Active participation in Kaizen Teams and continuous improvement processes. Skills and Qualifications Factory environment experience Understanding and be able to follow work instructions (SOP's) as well as risk and COSHH assessments A thorough and complete understanding of the product, the DET and Press process and procedures, which control these activities, to ensure reproducibility of products with effective problem solving and awareness. Factory based wood machining background is preferred, but not essential. Operator level skills of worktops or similar products from blank to finished product. Lock out procedures, Tooling changes and set up of tooling/equipment to required standard, safely and with minimum interruption (smed approach) An ability to forward think and problem solve by having an understanding of the process, equipment and the products used. Ability to set and operate the DET and press section of the production line. Self-motivated and work towards achieving set KPI's Able to work well within a team and as an individual within the manual operation of the lay-up area. Ability to learn and follow quality expectations/standards. Punctual, self-conscious and willing to be flexible, including overtime Able to work any required shifts, with the correct notice period. Ability to scan job travellers and follow basic computer system (scanning).
