Job Title: Technical Project Manager

About the Role: Are you ready to lead impactful technical projects that directly enhance critical services? We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our Unified Communications team. This is a hands-on role where you will not only manage projects but also be actively involved in system architecture, configuration, and development. You’ll oversee the lifecycle of diverse projects, ensuring delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters.
Working with stakeholders across a leading healthcare provider, you’ll drive forward digital transformation initiatives while managing relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal teams. This is a unique opportunity for someone with technical expertise and a proven track record in project management to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the full lifecycle of technical projects, from initiation to closure, including risk management, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
2. Develop detailed project plans and maintain documentation, ensuring compliance with standards and processes.
3. Lead the design and planning of technical systems, including paging, telephony, VoIP, and IT infrastructure.
4. Support financial oversight for projects, ensuring budgets are met and value for money is delivered.
5. Act as a hands-on technical lead, contributing to system configuration, security, and development.
6. Provide leadership and training to project teams, ensuring knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Essential Skills & Experience:
o Degree or equivalent qualification or experience.
o PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent project management certification.
o Strong technical background, including hands-on experience in IT systems, networking, and server environments.
o Proven track record in delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
o Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
o Experience in risk management, budgeting, and change management processes.
2. Desirable Skills:
o PRINCE2 Practitioner, ITIL, or Change Management certifications.
o Experience with SQL Server, SharePoint, virtual environments, and Microsoft-based systems.
o Knowledge of CAFM solutions, system migration, and automation of manual processes.

5. NHS pension – 23.7% employer contribution
