Reports to Finance Change Director We are seeking an experienced Workday Finance Functional Specialist to support the Workday platform implementation, encompassing both HR and Finance modules. The functional specialist will work closely with functional subject matter experts, technical teams, and third-party vendors to ensure the Workday configuration supports the transformation needs of the programme. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Workday's data architecture, a strong understanding of Finance data processes, and the ability to work across multiple Workday functional areas. Key Responsibilities: Attend and contribute to all functional design sessions executed during the Architect & Configure stage, applying Workday best practices and lessons learnt from past implementations Facilitate the preparation, completion and sign off of configuration workbooks throughout the Architect & Configure stage Work with third-party vendors and internal teams to complete solution design across all process pillars Support the development and maintenance of testing scenarios to be executed during the formal Test stage of the implementation Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions for the subject matter experts and end users in preparation for testing and go-live Support data conversion activities within scope, if and when required Contribute to regular programme updates on the status of functional activities, including open design decisions, configuration workbook status and risk and issue resolution Work closely with the Change Management team to determine Finance change impacts to end users Support post-go-live data maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting efforts. Assist the development of training materials for end users as part of the wider Training needs analysis and training plan Qualifications & Experience: Experience in functional solution design, testing and deployment, with a strong focus on ERP implementations, preferably Workday. Hands-on experience with Workday Finance modules across Procure to Pay, Record to Report and Order to Cash. Experience with functional configuration, including business processes, security and reporting. Experience with Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) would be beneficial Proven ability to collaborate with project delivery teams through complex ERP implementations Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. Familiarity with industry best practices applied to a Finance organisation Preferred Qualifications: Workday functional certification in either Procure to Pay, Record to Report and Order to Cash Experience in large-scale Workday transformation programmes Knowledge of other ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
