Reporting directly to the Engineering Lead, the role will be located at the Mondelez Chirk factory in Wrexham. The factory offers a unique and exciting opportunity in dealing with unique engineering equipment which ranges from large heavy duty food processing machinery such as roasters, milling machines and conveying. The site also utilises a wide range of smaller more technical equipment such as PLC control and GEA valve arrangements. The scope of the engineering equipment provides a unique and challenging environment for somebody willing to accept a new challenge every day. How you will contribute - This hands-on role is responsible for leading the maintenance team to deliver reliable and sustainable equipment. - This role is responsible for leading a maintenance team to deliver sustainable and reliable equipment performance in a cost-effective manner while meeting all safety and quality requirements. - Manage a team of approximately 20 mechanical and electrical technicians - Working alongside the Engineering & Operations Management teams to deliver the site priorities following the principles of SQCDSM. - Budget Responsibly - investigate productivity opportunities to drive savings on site. - Lead and be accountable for the asset reliability including maintenance repairs & overall operations are in place. - Lead, develop, evaluate maintenance plans, implement, coach and deliver changes. - Regular involvement with site shutdowns such as planning, implementing, and reviewing. - Provide leadership, coaching to engineering team towards implementation of IL6S. Integrated Lean Six Sigma (Lean Methologies). - Allocate work, follow-up ensuring deadlines are met and report on KPI metrics. What you will bring A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: - Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in Food Production or Manufacturing industry. - Proven ability to coach and develop maintenance teams. - An Engineer with a strong financial & business acumen, project management skills - Strong inter-personal and communication skills are required to build strong and effective working relationships across the site. - Good influencing skills and high engineering standards will drive sustainable reliability while continuously reviewing preventative and predictive maintenance methods. - Effective contractor management and facilitation will be required to co-ordinate specialised maintenance and excessive workloads.
