As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will perform quality checks on finished PODs and Modules, monitoring factory production using measurement tools to ensure correct quality is maintained.
The successful candidate will also manage, control, calibrate testing equipment verification, conduct internal audits, and ensure that company policy and procedures in relation to best practice workflows are adhered to.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Quality audits – you will be inspecting modular buildings and bathroom PODs for quality defects.
* Conduct final inspections of PODs and Modules.
* Inspect final product and compare to requirements.
* Document Control – complete and process all relevant quality assurance documentation.
* Manage the PCP Process both on paper format and through ACC (Auto desk).
* Identify NCRs and assist with root cause analysis.
* Assess the product's quality by testing for a range of features and seeing how the product performs and conforms to the required standards and tolerances, and is compliant to drawings and specifications.
* Work closely with the Production teams, monitoring and ensuring that all aspects of quality on the factory floor are adhered to.
* Ensure paperwork in circulation is of the correct version.
* Generate statistical data when required.
* Support line manager where required.
* Additional allocated tasks as discussed and agreed with your line manager and Head of HSEQ&C.
* Support with the NCR process in line manager’s absence.
* Support the ISO9001 process and other accreditation support when required (BOPAS ISO, etc.) in line manager's absence.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Qualified internal or lead auditor for ISO9001.
* Qualified internal or lead auditor for ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001.
* NEBOSH (preferred) or IOSH qualified.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Previous experience within a construction trade with finishing/snagging experience.
* DFMA – ability to read and interpret technical designs.
* Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Technician in Finishing on modular construction projects.
* Familiarity with ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Standards, OHSAS 18001, Health & Safety Management, and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management.
* Lean Manufacturing Experience.
* 5S implementation Experience.
* Practical Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, or Trade experience.
SKILLS
* Ability to collaborate with Technicians, Engineers, and production staff to facilitate quality improvements, including activities to improve right first time.
* Keen eye for detail, able to identify issues and escalate appropriately.
* Must be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office package.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Proven ability to apply root cause and problem-solving methodologies to identify quality-related problems and implement actions.
* A background in auditing and compliance.
Familiarity with electronic quality systems is also required.
