Seasonal Gardener £23,000 LocationStoke-on-Trent Hours per week39 Contract typeFixed Term The role Our client has an exciting opportunity for TWO Gardeners to join their Property Team on a seasonal seven-month basis, with the potential to transition to a permanent role for the right candidate. As a gardener youll help to maintain and improve gardens and ground across their homes in and around Staffordshire. Job requirements Perform garden maintenance tasks like lawn mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding and litter picking. Other tasks included are gutter cleaning, fence and gate repairs and small-scale home repairs for our residents, and the collection of fly-tipping waste. You will need to use powered equipment such as brush cutters, hedge cutters, lawn mowers and leaf blowers. Perform landscaping works to help improve their outdoor spaces. You may be required to drive company vans and tow trailers to enable delivery of the service. Communicate with your line manager with daily phone calls, emails, and regular one-to-one meetings throughout the year. What theyre looking for Someone who is experienced and skilled in the delivery of grounds maintenance. Ability to carry-out small-scale property repairs. A person who can and will work in all weathers. Experience and knowledge of safe working practice. An understanding of what great customer service is. A person with a positive outlook who can solve problems. Educated to NVQ level 2 in horticulture or equivalent. Willingness to learn new skills and committed to continuous improvement. A full UK driving licence.
