The main requirement of this job is to demonstrate the ability to work proactively in order to support the Theatre Sister/Charge Nurse in the delivery of high-quality care and a positive patient experience of all patients visiting the theatre environment. Primarily, this will be through effective role modelling of professional behaviors and the deployment of practice development and educational methodologies.

Main duties of the job
We are able to offer an exciting opportunity for a theatre nurse or ODP to join our Breast Theatre Team. You must be driven and committed to the delivery of high quality, safe surgical practice and passionate about leading and developing theatre staff and teams.
This post is primarily to help lead the Breast service so experience within this specialty in a scrubbed role is essential.
You must be able to demonstrate commitment to developing the service, show evidence of clinical leadership and multidisciplinary team working with excellent communication skills. Experience
* Educated to Degree level or equivalent level of education, training or experience.

If you need to have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, as a requirement of the role, you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check (£49.50) and this amount will be reclaimed from your first salary. From 1st February 2019 all new starters to the Trust are required to join the DBS update service as per Trust DBS Re-checking Policy which has an annual cost of £16. New employees who do not join the update service will be required to pay £49.50 for a new DBS check in 3 years time.
Please note that news starters with KGH are subject to a six month probationary period.
